Power was out for around 4,000 customers on Friday morning after a powerful storm came through Connecticut early Thursday morning, down from more than 80,000.
Power outages affected the school day for several schools and school districts across the state.
As of 8 a.m. on Friday, nearly 4,000 Connecticut Light & Power customers and 150 United Illuminating customers are still without power.
CL&P tweeted that the majority of its customers would have power by Friday, but some might not get electricity until Saturday. For restoration estimates, call 800-286-2000 or text "outage" and your zip code to 24612.

The forecast for Friday is a mix of clouds and sun, with some scattered snow flurries.
