A gas leak in the area of 26 Prospect Street in Hartford is contained, but American Row, near the Old State House is closed as crews make emergency repairs, according to police.
Dunkin' Donuts and a shoe store were evacuated. Central Row was also closed but has since reopened.
Traffic heading inbound from the Founders Bridge will be diverted, so police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
