A warning is being issued after a raccoon tested positive for rabies in Connecticut.
Suffield Animal Control said a raccoon near the East Granby and Tariffville town lines tested positive for rabies.
Pet owners are encouraged to make sure their animals are up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.
Anyone in the area is also asked to try to avoid contact with wildlife.
