Rising Heat & Humidity for the Weekend

Oppressive humidity just days away...

The stretch of comfortable weather will come to an end as we head into the weekend.

Temperatures will rise into the 90s by Sunday with increasing humidity.

Check out the dew point trend over the next several days.

The dew point is a measure of how much moisture is in the lower atmosphere.

Anytime the dew point is between 65 and 70 it means high humidity is present and when the dew point reaches 70 or greater it means oppressive levels of humidity are present.

The humidity will start to ramp up on Saturday with high humidity moving in by Sunday.

Oppressive humidity will move into the state by Monday and Tuesday with heat index values surging into the upper 90s.

A cold front will move through late on Tuesday which will result in drier air moving into the state by Wednesday.
