A 52-year-old Hartford man who was hit by a car Thursday morning has died, according to Hartford police.
Police said they responded to Wyllys and Groton streets in Hartford, near Hartford Hospital, at 6:04 a.m. Thursday after learning a man had been hit.
An ambulance responded and transported him to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as Luis A. Torres.
Police said the driver, a 29-year-old East Hartford woman, was on her way to work when she hit the man. She remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
The Crime Scene Division is seeking any witnesses to this crash. Anyone with information should contact Sergeant Jason Lee at 860-757-4341.
