Police are investigating after two people were injured in a crash in Plainfield Saturday afternoon.

Crews said they responded to Putnam Road north of Arbor Lane in the Wauregan section of Plainfield at approximately 12:18 p.m.

Joseph Todisco, 39, was driving northbound on Putnam Road when he tried off the road. A motorcycle, operated by Todd Chamberlain, 52, was traveling southbound on Putnam Road when Todisco pulled into the motorcycle's path. The motorcycle then struck the back of the car, police said.

Chamberlain lost control of the motorcycle and both him and his passenger, Terri Chamberlain, 56, were ejected, according to police.

Chamberlain was transported to Plainfield Backus Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Terri was also transported to the hospital, but with life threatening injuries. She was taken to Hartford Hospital via Lifestar, police said.

The accident reconstruction team responded to the scene.
