The Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15) in North Haven has reopened in both directions hours after a serious crash on Tuesday night.
According to the Connecticut Department of Transportation, the crash was reported around 10:35 p.m. and closed the highway between exits 63 and 64.
The North Haven Fire Department said two cars are involved in the crash, which is in the median of the highway. One car caught fire and at least one person was trapped in a vehicle, fire officials said. Life-threatening injuries were reported.
The highway reopened around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
No other information was immediately available.
