Passport Day Is Canceled

However, post offices will still participate.

Passport Day in the USA will not happen on Saturday, March 9.

It is canceled because of the sequestration and the Connecticut Passport Agency will not be open to the public. 

However, many facilities not associated with the Department of State will participate. 

The list is posted on the the U.S. State Department Web site.

This was the day when residents can apply for passports without making an appointment for routine or expedited service.
