Polls will be open in 21 cities and towns on Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for municipal primaries.
Voters have until noon on Monday, Sept. 12th to register and be able to cast a ballot in the primaries the following day. Unaffiliated voters have until the same deadline to enroll in a major party if they want to vote in the primary in their community.
Absentee ballots are now available. To be counted for the municipal primary, your application must be to the town clerk’s offices no later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011.
The city of Bridgeport will hold its primary for mayor, city council, sheriff, town and city clerk on Tuesday Sept. 27.
Most Connecticut municipalities will hold a general election for municipal candidates on Nov. 8.
