Route 9 north has reopened in New Britain after a fiery crash on Friday morning.
The crash closed Route 9 northbound in the area of exit 24 around 9:15 a.m., according to state police.
The incident was affecting southbound traffic on Route 9 as well.
The driver was able to escape the car before it burst into flames, police said.
