Whitney Avenue in Hamden has reopened Thursday evening after a serious car crash closed the road for almost a full day.
Police said the motor vehicle crash brought down wires and the road remained closed in both directions near Route 15 until about 4:45 p.m.
First responders and utility companies responded to the area to repair the damaged power lines, police said.
