A 63-year-old Manchester man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Vernon late Saturday night.
Police identified the driver as Bruce Jenack, 63, of Manchester, and said he was involved in a crash in the 400-block of Bolton Road around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Lifestar was initially called to transport a patient, but the request was canceled.
Police said Jenack was traveling south on Bolton Road and lost control near Valley Falls Road.
He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from police.
Bolton Road was closed for several hours between Hatch Hill Road and Wildwood Road while the accident reconstruction team investigated and it was reopened early Sunday morning.
Police believe the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved.
