Eight people are displaced after a fire on Walnut Street Friday morning.
Fire officials said they responded just before 8 am. and found fire coming from the second floor and the fire extended to the third floor and the attic.
The residents were out of the building when firefighters responded and crews rescued a pet bird from the building, officials said.
Three adults and five children are displaced and the Red Cross is assisting them.

Walnut Street is closed at Ives Street, Rose Street and Young Street; and Wood Street is closed at Young Street.
