3 PM: 86K Without Power Across Connecticut

Power remains out for around 86,000 households and businesses after severe storms moved through Connecticut Tuesday.

As of 3 p.m., there were 81,928 Eversource customers without power and 4,204 United Illuminating customers out. At the height of the storm, more than 130,000 people were without power between the two major utilities.

The storm caused extensive damage across the state and has caused two deaths.
