A Shelton man is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
Police said the 14-year-old victim reported she was sexually assaulted near the Riverwalk on Canal Street in Shelton in August. The victim said she did not know the man’s real name, and claimed he got her intoxicated before the assault.
The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Alexander Liebhart, was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child. He was held on a $75,000 bond.
