Another Shooting Death in New Haven

A 23-year-old man is dead after a shooting in New Haven on Friday afternoon.

Police said it seemed to be a “traveling dispute.”

The shooter and the victim were traveling in separate vehicles that were approaching one another from opposite directions on Edwards Street at 3:40 p.m. and one blocked the other's path, police said.

People in both vehicles got out, fought and one person shot the other, police said.

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
