Rain and Gusty Winds Impacting Parts of CT

NBC Connecticut meteorologists are continuing to track a strong ocean storm that is affecting parts of the state.

Winds are gusting up to 40 mph in southeastern CT.

Rain has been falling in eastern CT for much of the day and we expect the rain to slowly propagate westward by the late afternoon and evening hours.

Winds will remain gusty through the day and into the overnight hours. A Wind Advisory is in effect for New London county with winds up to 50 mph possible.

Guilford police posted a photo on Facebook of a tree that came down on Catullo Drive. They said it "narrowly missed" a landscaper and he is OK.
