State Police have released a sketch of the man who sprayed mace at a convenience store clerk and robbed the Thompson store on Sunday in the hopes that someone can identify him.
The man who robbed the Route 131 Convenience Store, at 615 Quinebaug Road, at 5:45 p.m. on Aug. 9 sprayed the store clerk with mace, blinding the person for a bit, before fleeing with money from the register.
The robber is 35 to 45 years old, shorts and weighs 150 to 175 pounds, police said.
He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt, tan pants or shorts, sunglasses and a red and white bandana.
