New Haven police are investigating two stabbings and said it’s not yet clear if they are connected.
Officers responded to the intersection of Bassett Street and Dixwell Avenue at 4:50 a.m. to investigate a stabbing and found a victim with several slash wounds. An ambulance transported him to the hospital and police said his injuries are not life-threatening.
Around the same time, a private vehicle dropped a second male victim off at the emergency entrance of Yale New Haven Hospital. Police said he had a slash wound to his back, which was not life-threatening.
