State Troopers Seize 700 Bags of ‘NFL' Heroin from Car

State Police seized 700 bags of heroin stamped “NFL” from a car in Killingly and have arrested a woman suspected of stashing it in her car.

Police said Lori Ashmore, 42, of Killingly, was suspected of storing a large amount of heroin in her Main Street home or in her car, a black 2015 Hyundai Accent.

When troopers went to her home at 7:20 p.m. on April 12, Ashmore gave troopers written consent to search her residence and her vehicle, police said.

Investigators didn’t find anything in her home, but said they found 700 bags of heroin with an “NFL” stamp pre-packaged for sale in the trunk of her car, police said.

Police took Ashmore into custody and charged her with possession of heroin with intent to sell. Bond was set at $75,000 and she is due in Danielson Superior Court today.
