Cancellations Linger at Bradley Airport After Blizzard

Air travel has resumed through Bradley International Airport in the wake of the Blizzard of 2015, but about 20 percent of flights were canceled Wednesday, most in the morning morning, according to airport officials.

On average, about 100 inbound and 100 outbound flights travel through Bradley each day, according to airport executive director Kevin Dillon, who said air travel should be back to normal Thursday.

"As the day's progressing, we're recovering," he explained.

Hundreds of travelers camped out at the airport after being stranded during the blizzard.

"I spent literally hours back and forth on the phone," said Vermont resident Ray Shannis, who struggled to reschedule a canceled flight.

Others, like Travis Clark, couldn't get into the state.

"We were supposed to come in Saturday, then Sunday, then Monday," explained Clark, who finally arrived from Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Flight status information is listed online. Travelers are also advised to check with their airlines.
