Windsor Locks Student Accused of Bringing Uknown Substance to School

A student brought an unknown substance to Windsor Locks High School, which led to an evacuation on Thursday. 

Windsor Locks First selectman Chris Kervick said the high school went into safety protocol procedures around 1:30 p.m. and students were brought onto the football field after an unknown substance was discovered.

Police said they intend to issue a juvenile summons to the student suspected of bringing in the substance.

Students were being held on the football field as DEEP tested the unknown substance but the students were allowed to leave just around 3:35 p.m, police said.
