6 Hospitalized After Suburban, Ambulance Collide

Six people were taken to local hospitals after a Chevy Suburban and an ambulance collided in Bridgeport on Tuesday just before noon.

The patient in the ambulance was taken to the hospital, as were the two EMTs who responded. One of the EMTs suffered a broken nose.

Two adults and a child were in the SUV, and were also taken to a hospital.

No information is available about what the patient was being transported for or injuries other than the broken nose. 

The crash happened at Wayne and Merritt streets.
