Suspect In Fatal Shooting Had Extensive Criminal Record

A Bridgeport man is dead after being shot multiple times on Friday evening.

Bridgeport Police responded to Clinton Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. on Friday after receiving reports of gunshots. When they arrived they found 33-year-old Raheem Hargrove-Murray on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to St. Vincent Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Officers arrested 37-year-old Dominic L. Perez shortly after the shooting and he was charged with murder.

According to the Connecticut Post, both the Hargrove-Murray and Perez have been arrested for murder in the past and had extensive criminal histories.

Police believe Perez is the only suspect involved in the shooting. He is currently being held on $1,000,000.00 bond and will be arraigned on Monday.
