Suspect in Shooting at Krauszer's in East Hartford Considered ‘Armed and Dangerous'

Police are looking for the person who shot a man in the leg at the Krauszer’s at 468 Main St.in East Hartford early on the morning of Thursday, Jan. 18 and they said the suspect they have identified is considered armed and dangerous. 

Police said they have obtained warrants for 26-year-old Carlton Depeyster, of New Britain.

Authorities said they were involved in the shooting at 1:13 a.m. on Jan. 18. 

The victim man was shot during a fight and has been released from the hospital.

Police have identified Depeyster as the suspected shooter and have obtained a warrant charging him with first-degree assault, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a firearm. 

He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
