A water main break closed part of Mohegan Drive in West Hartford on Tuesday morning and work to restore the road is expected to continue until around 4 p.m.
According to the MDC, the 12-inch water main break that broke is at 198 Mohegan Drive.
The main was shut down at 5:40 a.m. to facilitate a repair. Ten homes were affected by the shutdown and service is back on.
Police said Mohegan Drive is closed between Carlyle Road and Simsbury Road.
Repairs are expected to be completed around 4 p.m.
