Suspects in Convenience Store Robbery Arrested

The Buick Stop Convenience Store was robbed.

Police arrested two suspects in a Shelton convenience store robbery and said they found weapons and drugs during the investigation.

The Buick Stop Convenience Store at 429 Shelton Ave. was robbed on Friday at 7:50 p.m.

Police said one man fired a gunshot while he was in the store.  The clerk was not injured and the shooter fled with cash from the register. 

Police investigated through the weekend. 

On Sunday, police searched three Stratford residences for evidence and found a loaded handgun, ammunition, money, clothing, more than one pound of marijuana and a small amount of cocaine in two people’s bedrooms, police said. 

Anthony Parowski, 24, and George Siler, 21, were arrested. 

Parowski was unable to post a $650,000 bond and will be arraigned in Derby Superior Court on Monday.

Siler was unable to post the bond set at $360,000 and will also be arraigned in Derby Superior Court on Monday.
