The Mayor of Naugatuck is in some tax trouble, according to the Rep-Am.
Mike Bronko has two federal tax liens on his home for unpaid employee withholdings and federal unemployment taxes.
The first lien was nearly $10,000. The second was for more than $2,500.
Bronko says the problems stem from the termination of his carpentry business which he stopped operating in June. He says he is working to rectify the situation. Bronko is facing a Republican primary against former mayor Ronald San Angelo.
The general election is May 4.
