Teen Takes Mom's Car, Crashed Into Garage: Cops

The teen has been charged with reckless driving, according to reports.

A Manchester teen police said took his mother’s car early Tuesday morning, hit a garage and fled, has been charged in connection with the crash.

The 17-year-old drove down Cooper Hill Street, lost control of his mom's car and struck a detached garage at 243 McKee St. around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.

Police said another teenage passenger in the car also fled.

No one was hurt in the crash.

The 17-year-old was charged with reckless driving, the Hartford Courant reports.
