Teenager in Stable Condition After Shooting in New Haven

A teenager who was shot in New Haven on Sunday afternoon is in stable condition and remains in the hospital.

Officers responded to State Street near Rock Street around 1:05 p.m. after getting multiple 911 calls of gunfire and a person shot.

When police arrived, they said they found a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his pelvis.

The teen from New Haven was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition, according to officers.

State Street between Ferry Street and the Hamden town line was closed during the initial investigation and has since reopened.
