A therapist has been charged with sexual assault in Greenwich after police received reports of an inappropriate relationship.
Police said they received a complaint in August that the victim had been involved in an inappropriate relationship with a local therapist, 62-year-old Dr. Kevin Root, of Riverside.
Police investigated and have charged Root with second-degree sexual assault and tampering with a witness.
Bond for Root was set at $75,000. He has been released and is due in court on April 23.
