The Torrington Fire Department is warning of a potential financial scam on Monday.
Firefighters said they learned of a possible scam that was using information and implying that an unauthorized charge was made and attributed to the Torrington Fire Department.
According to the fire department, they do not process electronic money transfers of any kind.
Anyone that notices any unauthorized electronic debt or money transfers are asked to contact police, fire officials added.
