Torrington Untimely Death Not Suspicious: PD

The bomb squad responded after World War II devices were found in the home

Torrington police have determined an untimely death discovered Friday, which prompted evacuations when suspicious devices were found in the home, is not suspicious.

Police said they were called 33 Wolcott Avenue around 6 p.m. Friday and discovered an untimely death.

When they arrived they found several World War II detonation devices and called in the bomb squad . Several surrounding homes were while authorities checked the devices. The bomb squad determined the devices were not explosive and resident were allowed to return home.

Police have not released any information about the victim, but as of Saturday morning said that the death was not suspicious.
