FIRST ALERT: Tracking Strong, Possibly Severe Storms Sunday

The NBC Connecticut meteorologists have issued a First Alert for storms that could be strong and possibly severe late this afternoon and throughout the evening.

Clouds and fog early this morning will make way to partly sunny skies this afternoon with high temperatures in the 70s.

A line of thunderstorms will move in after 3 p.m. and there is a low risk for storms that develop to become strong or severe. The greatest threat for strong storms is in western Connecticut.

The greatest risk for Sunday's storms will be damaging wind and small hail. Periods of rain will linger throughout the evening.
