Police have identified the man who died after a serious crash on Interstate 91 North in East Windsor on Sunday night.
A preliminary investigation shows that 44-year-old Russell C. Jacobs, of Springfield, Mass., was driving on I-91 north in East Windsor just before exit 45 when he lost control, state police said.
The vehicle then veered into the right shoulder and collided with the metal beam guardrail before rolling over into the right shoulder, authorities added.
Jacobs was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. His passenger, later identified as a 37-year-old woman from Waltham, Mass., was transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
