False Bomb Threat Prompts Trumbull School Bus Evacuation

Students on a school bus were evacuated on Monday after police were informed about a possible bomb threat.

The source of the report came from text messages comments made by one of the students several days earlier.

On Monday, a student texted their parent that they did not feel safe on the bus. The parent contacted the school bus company who made the report to police.

The bus was stopped in the area of Booth Hill Road and Wisteria Drive, which was blocked off while students were taken off the bus, police said.

No explosives were found on the bus, but students were transferred to another bus to be brought home, Trumbull Police said.

All roads that were closed off were open after an hour.

Officers are determining whether charges should be lodged against the 15-year-old who made the original threat.
