Two Arrested After Multi-Town Chase

State police have arrested a man and a woman after they led troopers on a multi-town chase Friday night.

18-year-old Ariana Orkney and 21-year-old Isaiah Rivera were driving a stolen car and tried to get away when Rivera crashed into a tree in Preston.

Troops said the pair ran off and stole a pick-up truck from a home in Preston.

Police caught up with them in North Stonington and used OnStar to shutoff the truck's engine.

The pair jumped out and ran off and were caught by Wheeler High School.

Rivera is facing charges including first degree larceny, first degree reckless endangerment and third degree criminal trespass.

Orkney is facing charges including first degree larceny and third degree criminal trespass.

Rivera is being held on a $500,000 surety bond and Orkney is being held on a $250,000 surety bond.

Orkney and Rivera are due in court Aug. 15.
