Two Partial Collapses Reported on Monday

Emergency crews responded to two partial building collapses on Monday.

Part of the roof of the former Clyde Chevrolet car dealership on Route 83 in Vernon collapsed on Monday morning and, just before noon, a partial collapse was reported at 10 Fairfield Ave. in Wallingford.

The Wallingford building houses Aloka Medical Ultrasound, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Vernon car dealership closed in 2009.

Accumulating snow and ice from many winter storms have roof collapses around the state.
