Two people were killed and another was hurt in a fast-moving fire in Norwalk Tuesday morning.
The fire department was called to 12 Burwell St. in South Norwalk around 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Two people trapped in the building died in the fire, fire officials said. A third person was able to escape but went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to Norwalk Hospital. That person is in serious condition Tuesday at Bridgeport Burn Unit.
Norwalk's fire chief said crews did everything they could to save the victims.
Firefighters said another three or four people were living on the first floor of the house and escaped unharmed.
The fire marshal has been called to the scene and is investigating the cause of the fire.
