What turned out to be an empty shipping container prompted an investigation in New Haven on Monday.
Police said the New Haven Police Department Hazardous Devices Unit was called to Cedar Street near Congress Avenue.
According to officers, an unattended package was found outside of a medical building. The package was later determined to be an empty shipping container.
A portion of Cedar Street was closed to pedestrians and motorists, but has since reopened.
