Saying the neighborhood has changed, some Greenwich residents are not happy with a change to the posh Greenwich Avenue.
The police department is pulling the traffic officer from Lewis Street. That’s not sitting well with high-end jewelers on the Avenue, reports the Greenwich Times.
The jewelry stores say they aren’t only concerned about traffic but security as well. The two-block area is home to several high-end retailers including Lux Bond Green and Betteridge Jewelers.
Representatives from the stores were on hand Tuesday night to hear the Chief of Police explain his decision to remove the officer a month ago.
