Union Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Teen at Summer Party

State police have arrested a Union man who is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl during a party at his home during the summer of 2014.

David Secore, 46, of Union, has been charged with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint.

Police began investigating in January 2015 and the victim told police that she has been drinking at Secore’s summer party and he sexually assaulted her in his garage, according to the arrest warrant application.

The victim told police that she was 17 when she went to a party at Secore’s home in July or August 2014. During the party, Secore propositioned her for sex and exposed himself to her before the alleged assault, despite her telling him to stop, she told police.

The teen told investigators that she had never before had hard alcohol and someone made her a drink in the afternoon and she consumed more drinks at the party.

There were several drinking games, as well as a luge for alcohol, according to the victim, who said several people were highly intoxicated and were getting sick.

Police took Secore into custody at his workplace in Eastford on Wednesday and he was held on bond until his arraignment today.
