A shoreline veterinary emergency center has lost Precious, a Chihuahua left in its care.
Sean Kirkman and his wife took Precious to the vet on Saturday because she had been sick and gave the vet a $700 deposit to take care of her.
At about 5:30 a.m. Monday, they got a call telling them that their dog was missing. An administrator at the veterinary center said an employee took the dog out for a walk in the middle of the night and it slipped out of the leash and ran off.
Kirkman and his wife rushed to the center as soon as they got the call but, so far, there's been no sign of the dog.
He said the couple is in shock. There is a $1,000 reward for the dog. The dog was still missing as of Tuesday.
