Dog Stolen from Car at Staples Plaza in Wallingford Found

The dog Wallingford police had been trying to track down after it was reported stolen from a car that was parked at the Staples Plaza Tuesday have been found.

On Tuesday, police said the 12-year-old Pomeranian, named Casper, was stolen from a blue Audi Quattro parked in the parking lot at 1145 North Colony Road sometime between 8 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. while his owner was in a restaurant.

A real estate agent told police she saw a dog on the front lawn and shaking around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday while she was showing a home on Hanover Street in Meriden. 

The real estate agent brought the dog home and a friend noticed the dog looked like Casper, so she brought him to the Wallingford Police Station.

He appears to be OK and police said Casper is back with his  owner.
