West Bristol School Inform Parents of Student's Threatening Comment

A letter sent out to parents of West Bristol students said one of the children made a comment that was threatening in nature. 

On Monday, a student was heard making a comment to another student that threatening, the school said in the letter.

The school said the situation was handled in a timely manner by following all of the school and district's safety protocols. 

After conducting a thorough investigation, our administrative team worked with our Director of Safety, Deputy Superintendent and School Resource Officer to evaluate the level of threat and determine next steps," Principal Michelle LeVasseur wrote in the letter to parents. "At no time were any members of our school community in danger."

LeVasseur said she was available to speak with parents about any concerns on Tuesday night following a parent-teacher meeting. 

School will begin at normal times on Wednesday.
