West Hartford police are trying to find two women who they say tried to use a stolen credit card at Westfarms.
The women stole a purse from a customer at Trader Joe's on New Britain Ave on January 17, police said.
They went across the street to Westfarms where investigators said they tried to use the victim’s credit card to buy items.
In surveillance photos the women are seen at a store inside the mall trying to use the victim’s credit cards.
Sharon Barnes and her husband huddled together into Trader Joe’s after learning the news.
“We will just walk a little closer today,” Lawrence Barnes said.
While they’d like to keep their mind on their grocery list patrons are now keeping an eye on who could be shopping with them.

“I'll take care of her get in and get out,” Barnes said.
