Sometimes you just need to take a moment and enjoy a good taco.

It's National Taco Day and there are several places in Connecticut to celebrate.

Pro tip: Best practice is to check if your local restaurant is participating in these deals.

Geronimo Southwest Grill has locations in New Haven and Fairfield and you can enjoy many different types of tacos, including mahi-mahi, smoked chicken, yellowfin tuna, smoked buffalo brisket, braised shortrib, pork pibil and pork carnitas tacos.

Wood-n-Tap is offering $3 tacos all day long in celebration of National Taco Day.

Every day is National Taco Day at Chango Rosa in Hartford. You can enjoy tacos with pork, pineapple and cilantro or a carne asada taco, chicken, smoked beets, crispy fish, pulled pork, tritip or crispy calamari.

The taco menu at Bartaco ranges from baja fish to spicy chorizo, or portobello, cauliflower, falafel and more. It is located in West Hartford, Stamford and Westport.

With a name like Tomatillo Taco Joint, you cannot go wrong on National Taco Day. There are locations in New Haven, Cos Cob and Stamford. Taco options include hacked chicken, braised beef, baja fish, shrimp, dirty steak (which is a house rubbed steak) carnitas, beef chili or vegetarian.

If you're on the go, Taco Bell has a "National Taco Day Gift Set" for $5. It includes four tacos "gift-wrapped" in a special box.
