A Day In Court for Bullies

Which students should be considered bullies? That's what at least one Connecticut lawmaker is asking.

Sen. Gary LeBeau, East Hartford, is proposing new legislation that would require a hearing before a school labels a student as a bully.

If passed, the bill would allow students and their parents to tell their side of the story before the students are labeled as bullies or a letter is included in the student's file indicating that the student is guilty of bullying.

It's a label that can stick with the student for the rest of the time in the school system.
