Wife of ESPN Broadcaster Berman Died of Blunt Force Trauma, Drowning

The wife of longtime ESPN broadcaster Chris Berman died of blunt force trauma and drowning, according to the chief medical examiner's office, and her death has been ruled an accident.

Sixty-seven-year-old Katherine Ann Berman, of Cheshire, was killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash May 9 in Woodbury.

Police said her car struck the rear of an SUV and both vehicles veered off the road.

Katherine Berman's car went down an embankment and overturned in a body of water. The SUV driver also was killed.
