Windsor Locks Personal Trainer Gets Final Rose and Proposes to ‘The Bachelorette'

A Connecticut native received the final rose, proposing to Kaitlyn Bristowe on the finale of "The Bachelorette" Monday night.

The bachelorette chose Shawn Booth, a personal trainer who lives in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up in Windsor Locks, to be her one and only.

"One of the first things I told you was that I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, Booth said to her after accepting her rose on the season finale. "After the two best months of my entire life I know what that reason and that's I'm not supposed to live my life without you. And I'm not going to."

And that's when he got down on one knee and proposed to her. A teary-eyed Kaitlyn said yes!

Standing 6-feet-tall, the 28-year-old said on his show bio page that being married means "having a special bond with someone that nothing can break" and "knowing that the person you are with is someone you can't live without."

His favorite musicians are Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and One Direction, adding "obviously" in regard to the last one, according to his bio.

He owns a farm house built in 1888 that he renovated with his dad, which is something he considers to be his greatest accomplishment, according to his bio.

Going into the show, he said his biggest date fear was "not being interested and not being able to get out of the date."

It looks like he didn't run into that problem with Kaitlyn, landing a date he could be sticking around with for awhile!
